Aims & Goals
Dell Cottage is committed to implementing the EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE (EYFS) within the setting. This framework is in place to give parents encouragement and understanding that their child will be safe and thrive until they leave to go to school.
The overarching aim of the EYFS is to help all young children achieve the five
Every Child Matters Outcomes as follows:
PARENT PARTICIPATION : We aim to work in partnership with parents and welcome their input. Parents are encouraged to meet regularly with staff to discuss their child's development.
KEY PERSON: Your child will be assigned a Key Person who will have responsibility for your child. This person will help your child settle in and will liaise with parents on the child's daily activities, an information slip will be given to parents at the end of a session.
PROGRESS: Your child's progress will be recorded in an "All About Me" file which you will have access to anytime. The file will consist of observations made on your child's learning and development while at Dell Cottage. Parents are welcome to add comments about achievements made at home and this file will be yours to pass on to your child's school.
