This framework is in place to give parents encouragement and understanding that their child will be in a provision that helps their child stay safe and that will help them thrive until they leave to go to school. The overarching aim of the EYFS is to help all young children achieve the five EVERY CHILD MATTERS outcome as follows:

The Principles which guide the work of practitioners working towards the EYFS are broken into 4 commitments, these are  as follows;

EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE

Dell Cottage is committed to implementing the Early Years Foundation  Stage (EYFS) within the setting.
