PARENT/GUARDIAN PARTICIPATION
At Dell Cottage Day Nursery we positively welcome input from parents/guardians. We aim to work in partnership with parents/guardians to provide the best possible early years education and experience for their children. Parents/guardians are encouraged to meet regularly with staff and management to discuss their child’s development.
KEY WORKERS
Your child will be assigned a Key-worker. This person will have a special responsibility for your child, she will help your child settle in and liaise with parent/guardian on child’s activities during the day, at the end of a session you will be given an information slip, this will tell you what your child has eaten/how long they have slept that day and any other information in case your Key-worker is unavailable
PROGRESS
Your child’s progress will be recorded in a Key-worker book which you will have access to at anytime. This book consists of observations made at Dell Cottage Day Nursery. Parents are welcome
to look at these records and also add comments about achievements made at home. The progress record will be yours to keep when your child leaves Dell Cottage Day Nursery.
Your child’s artwork is named, dated and stored in files which we send home at the end of each half term. If your child wishes to take his/her work home at the end of a session he/she may do so.

Regular newsletters and notices keep parents/guardians up to date with activities, weekly menus, events and outings that are planned.
